Biography

Matt McClurg is the Head of Visualization at Digital Domain. McClurg began his career as an artist at The Third Floor, contributing pre-vis and post-vis work on major studio films such as Iron Man 3 and Edge of Tomorrow. He advanced to lead pre-vis artist roles at 20th Century Fox, where he worked on the 2015 Fantastic Four reboot and Hitman: Agent 47. In 2014, McClurg joined Pixomondo, where he played a key role in building and leading the studio's pre-vis department. As a visualization and pre-vis supervisor, he contributed to a wide range of feature films and television series, including Wonder Woman, Ghost in the Shell, and Star Trek: Discovery. McClurg joined Digital Domain in 2019 as a Visualization Creative Supervisor and later became Head of Visualization. In this role, he has overseen visualization for multiple major films like the West Side Story remake, Morbius, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, and Now You See Me: Now You Don't.
