When Zaara fails to defuse the bomb, the bomb disposal squad takes Zaara and Rishi near a cliff. A squad officer declares that Rishi is safe to go, but he refuses to leave Zaara. When Indu insists Rishi to come with her, he agrees. However, Rishi runs back to Zaara when it becomes imminent that the bomb would explode. To make Rishi go away, Zaara accepts that she saw Rishi’s face when she closed her eyes, but Rishi takes Zaara’s hand and jumps off the cliff, and the bomb explodes.
